FULTON STATION, Chicago, IL

Owner
The Belgravia Group

Architect
Bauhs Dring Main

Contractor
Richard Builders

Completion Date
2000

The project site is located over the CTA blue subway line and adjacent to the Metra North and Northwest lines as they feed into the Chicago and Northwestern Station.

The presence of a significant amount of rail noise and vibration from beneath required the use of a base isolator network. The buildings rest on a system of double footings (separated by bridge bearing pads) resting over the CTA subway tunnels.

The project includes three major building types: the midrise steel framed buildings (pictured), two townhome buildings and a six flat condominium structure.
