The residential unit plans on this fifty
story condominium tower are configured as full depth front to back to
allow views of both the Chicago skyline and Lake Michigan.
The building’s interior structural
layout was configured to maximize flexibility of the floor plates,
allowing the buyers to combine adjacent bays, if desired.
Resistance to wind loads is provided by
a combination system, utilizing the three interior cores and perimeter
concrete tube.
The residential tower sits on two levels
of concrete transfer girders to shift the column grid to accommodate the
parking garage layout.
Three
vertical groups of townhomes at the building’s base encircle the parking
garage to conceal it from street level. |
